I purchased a Frigidaire microwave (the most expensive --$1400) but, when I initially used it -- the sound of timer was nearly inaudible (according, not only to me, but to the appliance experts who Frigidaire sent to fix it).
A new board was installed, but the sound was still only "dog-hearing" friendly.
I persisted in my complaint -- till I spoke with corporate Manage # 2375 -- who told me that all Frigidaire could do, is what it has already done -- replace the board -- and if that doesn't make the sound high enough -- tough luck.
Moral: If you intend to purchase a Frigidaire Microwave, make sure you check out the timer alert before concluding the purchase -=- and if your told that it can't be listened to (as I was) only buy a microwave for which you can hear the timer alarm.
Purchased 1/7 cubic ft. microwave. It stopped working within 10 months. Still under warranty but they referred me to an incompetent repair company Dial Appliances who performed very poorly. Microwave still does not work so I decided to buy a new one rather than deal with Frigidaire Customer Service and Dial Appliances.
I purchased a Frigidaire dishwasher on 10/9/2017. Installed on 10/6/2017. On 3/1/2019 it wouldn't pump out the water. Disassembled found impeller on pump was shattered. My last dishwasher lasted 21 years without a problem. It was a Maytag. No more Frigidaire for me. They were well respected in years gone by. I feel any appliance should last at least 7 years.
