I find it rediculous that safeway fuel station charges a $125 hold to get gas on debit. Also its not even posted that theres a hold on all debit or credit transactions. There is no point in putting a hold beings it wouldnt go through regardless if np money or coverage is available. I will not use aafeway gas pumps ever again as long as they put hols on that amount of money for $20 in gas. Absolutely Rediculous.
Today is Christmas day and I ran out of flour and called my new Safeway to see if they were open at 2:30. I was told they were open until 3:00. I got in my car and was at Safeway at 2:37. A lady just leaving the store said, they are closed. So i waited at the door with a few other people when they were letting a customer out. The man in charged said we are closed. I said i just called and was told you were open until 3:00. He said to us, We are leaving at 3:00 and no one is coming in. Honestly this safeway is new in my neighborhood and even though it is right down the street, i will not be returning to this store EVER AGAIN. It is very unfortunate because the few people that were there were only picking up a couple if things. I cant submit this complaint without giving you a star so i will give you 1 star but thats only because i have to pick something.
I went to pick up 2 whole rib roasts today. It would have cost me $224.00 not including tax. They told me they were not allowed to even split the bones for me. I didnt ask for steaks or trim it. I didnt even ask to completely cut it. They told me they could not do it cause it cost more for them to do it. I just came back from my new shopping place family fare. $260.00 later for my roasts and they cut them and trimmed them for me FREE OF CHARGE. I told them that was not necessary but they wete happy to do it. I live across the street from safeway but will get in my car and go to family fare from now on. My sister is also fed up with safeway. I will be speaking to my neighbors who only go to safeway because they dont drive. I will be giving them rides from now on to any other store but safeway. Bue bye safeway. Sincerely Mary Beth Bausch. I have been trying to get access to MY gift card from Safeway. The are not willing to assist me with a card since I can not print it on line (gives me an error). I have the number, pin, ref#, po number, email where it was sent to me!! But the still are with holding my 25 dollars! Now I know it’s not much but it was given to me by my company for a job well done, and the refuse to help the customer. I am sure I am not the only one this has happened too. Who knows how much Safeway saves on not assisting customers access to their own money!! You are a disgrace Safeway! I have been speaking to CS now for over 1 to 2 hours. This is their number and if you speak to Mandy who is in management she is no help 877-723-3929. Just left a message yesterday for Tamara who is never available when I call. DO NOT BUY SAFEWAY GIFT CARDS! Or if you are a company, DO NOT BUY THEM FOR YOUR EMPLOYEES!!!
