The Amtrak Downeaster ride from Exeter, New Hampshire, to Boston, Massachusetts, was fantastic. Although there was a 10-minute wait aboard the train, it was insignificant compared to spending five hours at night in the Baltimore airport due to a Southwest delay. Along with the food and drink, the legroom was wonderful. Even though Exeter Station is little and outside, the day was pleasant for a summer visit. Another good station is Boston North. Then, at South Station, we boarded an on-time connecting train. Overall, it was rather nice and I arrived on time.
