got accused of being a thief. Exchanged an item with manager who saw my receipt but said don't worry about the receipt; he handed me the exchange without scanning it or anything. He told me to come back if I need assistance. I went back on a day this manager wasnt' there. I walked in and the alarm went off (because item was not scanned by previous manager), employees looked at me because of the alarm. I walked in holding the product up a bit so they could see me walk in with it. I went to ask someone for help, but was told to wait a few minutes. I figured I'd go outside and hook up the a/c charger I needed help with so I wouldn't take up too much of the staff's time. I walked out and the alarm sounded again. The employee who saw me walk in with the item followed me out and asked, "you gonna pay for that?! You can't just walk out without paying! Where's your receipt...on and on...non stop accusations flew out of his mouth. He didn't give me a chance to talk. All I could say was, "I walked in with this, you looked right at me when the alarm sounded....." before he cuts me off again. Some female comes out past him shouting at me that I didn't pay, I Where the 'f' is me receipt and I was obviously stealing because I slowly walked out (Right! because I had stolen something, you would have seen dust). She calls me a bunch of names and & goes back in. The employee mumbles obscenities at me so I shouted, "What did you say!" He replies YOU HEARD ME!! Here comes another female, flinging open the door yelling, "don't you talk to my son like that you f-ing B. Let's go - I'm gonna kick your ass or F you up....it was one or the other. A 50 plus year old woman calling me out to fight. She took steps toward me and for a split second, I thought about grabbing my gun, but obviously this foolish elementary school minded woman didn't know about Nevada's stand your ground law. I dialed 911 instead. She quickly walked back into the store, but not without shouting "you f-ing C" I stood by my car while speaking to police, then I waited in my car for a few minutes before canceling the police. Odd that a thief who apparently stole something would be the one calling the police.
The employee allowed his mother and, I'm assuming sister since they all looked alike, to speak to a customer, anyone for that matter, in such a filthy manner, really surprised me. What shocked me was that the manager inside heard and saw everything, but never intervened. I came home, pulled out my proof of purchase and called Auto Zone only to be spoken to like the lowest person. I snapped and yelled at the employee who then hung up on me. I recalled, and after 10 rings, a female answered (turns out the female just started work 1 week ago). What brave men they were to make her answer the phone. Out of all the BS I went through, they gave me an apology. She actually offered me a discount. For what or how much, I don't know. Don't really care, but obviously the manager told her to offer it. What newly hired employee would have the authority to offer someone a discount. What really disgusts me about this whole situation is that no one is being held accountable. I sent a complaint to corporate on a Sunday night, but still haven't received some kind of response - email, phone call or text from anyone. So on Monday night, I left a voicemail for the district manager; he followed up with me the next morning; I appreciated that. He was appalled at what took place and he apologized - sincerely - multiple times, but you know..... It doesn't make me feel any better. I'm still upset, offended and I want to see the employee and manager terminated. Wishful thinking...I have to pass this auto zone every day, so who do I see standing outside the store with a customer? the same employee! Obviously they approve of employees and family members threatening customers. GOOD JOB AUTO ZONE!!!!
I purchase two new front axles for my Nissan two new shock absorbers KYB brand, and to duralast seals for the ends of the CV joints. The shock absorber started leaking the first week I had them on the car. Solution buy two more shock absorbers and pay the mechanic again to install them. The CV joint SEALS or bad because they're made cheaply and they leaked upon the installation of the Axel's. Driving home I lost a couple gallons of transmission fluid on the highway stop. Then the AutoZone technician said I should have never put those seals in the Nissan I should have got them off the dealer? Why wouldn't you tell me that when I bought them. Now I have to pay to have the axles removed and the new seals put in. And I paid $150 for the new shocks, which will cost me another hundred and twenty-five to get installed and 125 to install the seals on the axles that they sold me. I will never go here again. That's not right. Selling products that don't work. You want to keep America great again quit buying everything from China Taiwan Japan and buy something made in America even if it's a seal for a European or a Asian car. So I'm buying mine from the Nissan dealer. Rant over I've been going to AutoZone for 30 years and took care of a fleet of 40 trucks. Thank you very much

On December 30th I purchased a battery from Auto Zone in Crosby TX - paid $95 went home and installed the battery. My car did not start so I had my mechanic tow my car to the shop - thinking it was some other issue besides the battery - turns out the new battery was dead. Auto Zone swapped out the battery however I was charged $104 dollars from my mechanic - $60 for tow and $44 for install of new battery. I had to take a day off from work to deal with this issue. I have left a complaint on company website but it has gone unnoticed. I will never do business with them again - partially because of the battery but more so the lack of concern or interest to make good on an issue that clearly they were at fault - they do not care about their customers - just another Corporate giant on a money grab. Save yourself the time and hassle of doing business with this company - they don't care about you or me!
I placed a order on 12/31/19 for 3 parts that total out to be 156.20, 2 of the parts read shipped with in one day and the other part read shipped within 2 days, well i called back the same day to cancel the order, the representive told me that she couldnt cancel because the items already shipped, and that i would have to wait until i received the items, than go to the store for my refund, than i called the number i got to issue my complaint, but that wasnt no help all i got was you should of read the time of delivery, customer service isn't what it used to be I had mechanic I was going to go get my car on Saturday because I suggest was get all my part but now I'm not getting my third party till Monday which puts it off even longer so now I have to pay more for my car sitting at the shop I don't think that's right this was my first time ordering online I normally would go into the store and buy my heart I would never order online with AutoZone again
I called AutoZone on Grand Caillou Rd in Houma, La to ask for a price on brakes. The female I spoke to was very rude for no apparent reason. I had to ask who I was speaking to a few times until she finally said that her name was Keisha. Because of Keisha's rudeness, I will not ever shop at this location again. I will also share this horrible experience with everyone I know, and suggest they shop elsewhere also.
My daughter overdosed and passed away James the GM instead of asking how my son was doing he asked for proof of my daughters passing. How cold and callous of a person this GM James is I am so done with your company and how you treat your employees it is just horrific.I am going to the news I am going to the newspaper I am going on any website that’ll listen to me and tell them what a poor inhumane Company Auto Zone is because James has had numerous complaints and your company HR no one does anything about how horrific this man is.If I could give a zero minus I would I am so disgusted with how you treat your employees it’s apalling
Hampstead Maryland The GM of Auto Zone James , is horrific my daughter passed away and he wanted my son to prove that she passed away. Instead of me giving him the information he refused to get on the phone and he was screaming at my son for having me call to give him the information of where it had happened and where the funeral home was. He treats the employees like they were animals he screams at them he verbally abuses them he is violent with them he is a horrifically awful person and should not be working at an AutoZone , For that matter he should be working nowhere because he is such an awful wretched man. Instead of asking how my son was he was screaming At him . He has no business in customer service. I’ve tried to call HR they don’t refer return phone calls. I’ve called the district manager he doesn’t return phone calls. I am apalled at how they treat their employees they have no customer service skills. Let alone no humanity towards their fellow man kind. I am going to continue until this is rectified he has no business being a manager or in management with any company James the GM of Auto Zone Hampstead Maryland. I will continue calling writing anyone the media the newspaper the news Internet anyone that will listen I will continue to tell my story about James the Gm of Auto Zone in Hampstead Maryland is. Let alone I’m going to go to the labor board and I’m going to get a lawyer and I’m going to continue until this man apologizes and treat people as human beings he has no business in any type of service industry
Horrible. Been goiong there for over 20 years and cant even get a good battery check. Always selling me wrong parts when i give them them proper info.. Never go there again
I had a headlight on my 07 Mercedes Benz GL450 I went in to purchase a headlight hid and as I was trying to install the headlight on the passenger side it was kind of hard to put in so one of the employees came out to help and he had taken off the metal bracket that holds the headlight in he did not know how to put the metal bracket back on so the assistant manager came out to help so they took the back cover off the driver side twist the locking mechanism the hold the lighting and unplugged it so as they seen how the metal clip was holding a lightbulb in they got the passenger side on but they were trying to put back the locking mechanism on to my headlight on the driver side had a trying time trying to get it on they end up breaking a clip by trying to lock it on they put the cover on and I went on about my way the next day I noticed my driver side headlight was out I pulled over to the gas station open My Hood and open the cover there was the locking mechanism sitting inside the compartment so the next day I went back to the store to get a light bulb and told him that it went out they were gladly to exchange the light bulb so instead of me trying to put the light bulb in I think it to my mechanic and I had moisture inside my headlight assembly which was awfully strange so when my mechanic got to the vehicle he said I will have to get a new headlight assembly because the locking mechanism was broke and moisture got inside of my headlight. So I called a district manager I got the phone number from the Cleveland Avenue store this district manager was trying to take care of everything but then pass the buck off to the new district manager and I explained to him what was going on and I told him that my mechanic would be back after the holiday so they call a junkyard which is $600 they had the assistant manager from Clintonville call me to tell me that the district manager wanted me to pay 200 and they pay 400 but nobody wants to pay my mechanic the whole bumper has to come down on this type of vehicle in order for them to remove the headlight assembly I called the dealer the dealer wants $1,000 AutoZone people touch my truck and now I have not had my truck since December 10th it is now December 27th and I'm very disappointed in AutoZone's actions instead of taking care of the customer I did not break it they did they need to pay for everything. I'm very disappointed in how this is being handled now I have to take legal action against you guys
