I accidently left my debit card at home, wrote a check on my LOCAL account with plenty of money in the acct and the machine "would not read the check", no reason was given for why, I sent an email asking the what/ why and reply was can not accept check if machine won't read it. Called HT Hqt and spoke to Amy in check services and asked why and Amy very abruptly said "Right we can n ot take a check if it can not be read". I asked 1why does the machine not read it...local bank, plenty of funds etc...why not call the bank to verify and deposit. Amy gave me an exasperated sigh and asked if I wanted the complaint line. I really was just trying to figure out the why, was NOT complaining....but NOW after being treated like a waste of Any's time I am insulted and have decided to take my business ANYWHERE ELSE.....after 1 years of loyal shopping and spending thousands and thousands of dollars. Good Bye Harris Teeter One star only because they answered the phone.........
